Warwick Castle
Set in 64 acres of grounds and gardens, with the River Avon running alongside, Warwick Castle is a stunning example of a medieval castle. Interactive tours, quizzes and immersive shows make history fun and live events such as jousting bring history to life. There are falconry and archery displays and for younger children there is a Horrible Histories maze and Zog playland. A convenient 10 minute walk from the Globe pub
The MAD Museum
Mad stands for ‘Mechanical Art and Design’ and this museum is all about beautifully crafted, moving sculptures either made to have an exaggerated purpose or made simply for the fun of it. Imagine the sorts of contraptions seen in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Wallace and Gromit or Scrapheap Challenge. For inquisitive children and parents alike, there are marble machines and 3D faces, flying mechanical birds and sand pictures to name just a few of the interactive exhibits. The Warwick Mystery Treasure Trail
A self-guided detective themed walking trail around historic Warwick. Find sneaky clues set on buildings and monuments to eliminate the suspects to discover whodunit and solve the mystery! The 2 hour trail starts and finishes at St Nicholas Park, which is a 15 minute walk from the Globe pub.
Mr Karting – outdoor go-karting
A wet and dry outdoor track for ages 8 and above. There are various packages from head-to-head racing to Grand Prix style as well as special junior sessions for younger drivers. A 2 mile drive from the Globe pub.
Guide Dogs National Centre
This National Centre is where puppies begin their journey to become life-changing guide dogs. The centre has room to breed up to 1,500 puppies a year and, since opening in 2011, has bred almost 11,000 puppies that have become guide dogs. Visitors can tour behind the scenes of the puppy facility, watch puppies from the viewing platform and hear first-hand from owners whose lives have been enriched by guide dogs. Puppy Handler experiences are also available. A 5 mile drive from the Globe pub.
